wordle 768x497PSHE aims to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of students and prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

PSHE education develops the qualities and attributes students need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society. The benefits to students of such an approach are numerous as PSHE prepares them to manage many of the most critical opportunities, challenges and responsibilities they will face growing up in such rapidly changing and challenging times. It also helps them to connect and apply the knowledge and understanding they learn in all subjects to practical, real-life situations while helping them to feel safe and secure enough to fulfil their academic potential.

PSHE is delivered by tutors and outside experts in weekly lessons. Students are taught with their peers with occasional ‘break out’ groups for more sensitive topics. The programme of study is progressive, tackling themes as appropriate to age relevance and topicality. Tutors are empowered to adapt schemes of work to meet the needs of the students and respond to current issues and events.
