RPCC Careers Programme 2017/18

Our programme of careers education has been created in consultation with students and staff, as well as being directed by governmental expectations and the Gatsby benchmarks. We aim to provide students with the opportunities to learn about and experience different pathways, as well as developing their employability skills through the following methods:
1. Themes of the Week
Across the year there are careers-focused weeks, for example, National Apprenticeship week. On these weeks every year group will have the opportunity to discuss and participate in activities based around that focus. Members of staff from across the school and external visitors come in to deliver assemblies on these themes.
2. Focus Days and Visits
There will be focus days in order to support students with their careers exploration. These are often delivered in affiliation with local businesses and alumni. Below is the schedule for 2017/18, however we also organise impromptu events when opportunities arise, such as, the Rock Assembly 2018.
