Year 11 Prom

Regents Park Prom 2017

The prom this year was held in the beautiful house and grounds of Chilworth Manor. Our students arrived looking absolutely stunning in their dresses and suits. Every single one of them looked grown up and ready for a celebration of their time at Regents Park.

The Daily Echo was on hand as they pulled up in a vast array of vehicles. Some fantastic pictures are available to view on their website. On arrival to the ball room, they were welcomed with a refreshing mocktail and it wasn’t long before large groups were chatting on the lawns, reminiscing about their school days.

Dinner was soon served, a delicious BBQ feast, and shortly after the that the music was turned up and the dancefloor began to fill. As the sun went down, the tunes and the dance moves stepped up a gear and the party was in full swing. The night was paused for a few minutes to announce the Prom King and Queen to rapturous applause and the dancing continued as the newly crowned monarchs disappeared to have their pictures taken.

As the evening drew to a close, the music became slower and the realization that this would be the last time many would see each other, soon dawned. There were some tears, plenty of hugs but above all, smiles and excitement about the inevitable after parties.

It was a truly memorable night for students and staff. They were a fantastic year group and we are missing them already. We wish them all the best and are delighted to have had the opportunity to share their Prom with them.

We would like to thank Mrs Jarvis, Mrs Reed, Mrs Heath, Miss Lovato & Mrs Fishlock for their additional organization and decorating skills. Without their help this would not have been possible.
